- Don’t forget about the Night Sky! Our area is a certified International Dark Sky Park and you will be amazed by the stars from the Milky Way above. Don’t forget to cross your fingers, as you might get lucky for some northern lights too!
Voyageurs National Park Visitor Centers
- The Kabetogama Visitor Center is just a 1/4 mile down the road
- The Ash River Visitor Center is about 15 minutes away
- The Park Service does offer guided boat tours

Area Restaurants
- The closest spot is the Rocky Ledge Bar and Grill just a 1/4 of a mile down the road from the Harmony Beach Resort. Arrowhead, The Blind Pig, and Kec’s Cove are also some other restaurants / bars in the area less than a few miles away by car or boat. There are a few others too, so just ask our staff for their favorites!
Wolf’s Den Cabin
We had a group staying at Harmony Bay for the Minnesota Bass Nation Team Trail fishing tournament. The resort was great and very close to our take offweigh-in location and local restaurants. The parking for boatstrailers is a little tight but they have boat slips with power available at the dock and a crew to help out with cleaning fish, gassing up your boat and everything else.
Pelican Cabin
"Clean Cabins, Nice Trip!"
My husband and I rented the Pelican cabin. We also rented the pontoon for 3 days. The cabin was very clean. It had all kitchen utensils we needed. Riley & Axel, at the docks, were unbelievable. They are the kind of help I am sure everyone would want. The boat ran perfectly. Even though there were families with small children it was soooo quiet! Our cabin was right by the dock & beach, we expected it to be busy. Even when it was it was quiet & relaxing. From the resort we saw 3 different mallard families, a hen Goldeneye, an otter, Pelican, Loon & Snowshoe hare. From the boat, Loons & Eagles. We highly recommend Kab Outdoors for your firewood. Large bundles with exceptional help. We went to Pine Ridge gift shop for some delicious mochas & Pecan Pie bars, & several souvenirs. Ash River welcome center is wonderful and would be fun for kids. The only thing we wish we had with was our family. We are already planning a return trip with our children & grandchildren for next summer! Thank you Harmony Beach Resort for this exceptional vacation!!
Dockside Cabin
"Nice Cabin in Voyageurs National Park"
Had a great time at Harmony Beach Resort! The staff were very friendly and the guys at the dock did an amazing job. We enjoyed renting a boat and fishing and site seeing on the water! Cabin was nice and had lots of dishes and cooking items. Our goal is to visit every National Park and we were happy to come visit this one for sure!
Eagle Villa
"Great Vacation – Kid Friendly"
Great for a secluded getaway with your family. Very friendly service, on-site boat rentals, sand beach and water trampoline for the kids. I've been to multiple dark-sky National Parks and this location did the best off-site job of preserving night vision and mindful outdoor lighting. Excellent views of the stars all nights except for when it stormed. The owners were super cute and helpful. My son loved the stockpile of board games. Will definitely recommend to friends.
Bear Paw Cabin
"Beautiful Place"
Exceptional staff- knowledgeable about the lake, friendly and present. Immaculate and adorable cabin (we stayed in Bear Paw cabin-- just the right size for two adults), well stocked kitchen. The pontoon we rented from them was in excellent shape (sea worthy!) and had a canopy for shade on the lake. Incredible scenery. Peaceful cabin on the lake. Highly recommend
Glacier Cabin
"Nice Lakeside Cabins"
Beautiful lakeside resort. We rented a lakeside cabin & boats. The equipment was well maintained and came fully rigged for fishing. They continue to make upgrades to the cabins & well maintained grounds. We highly recommend Harmony Beach as one of the best family owned and operated resorts on Lake Kabetogama in the Voyageurs National Park area.
Otter Cabin
"Cute Cabin on Kab"
We stayed in the Otter cabin for several nights, and it was great- super clean, with a fully stocked kitchen, and a deck overlooking the trees and Lake Kabetogama. I was surprised how new and updated the cabin was, with lots of seating and shelves for storage. The front office and dock staff was friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.
